“The Outer Banks- Kill Devil Hills” Fine Art by Deanna Caroon
I recently had a major liver resection surgery. I had a giant hemangioma on the left lobe of my liver that had to be removed and wanted to take a vacation with my family before having such a major procedure . We chose the beautiful beach of Kill Devil Hills in the Outer Banks. It was perfect. The sand was white , the water warm , the air salty , and the people kind. I had a perfect spot on the beach to draw. We visited the Wright brothers museum, had ice cream, the kids rode bicycles like they were kids again, we ate until we couldn’t anymore, and just enjoyed one another. It was a vacation for the memory books. You never know what life will bring and I am so happy we had these short 3 days at this beautiful beach. XOXO- Deanna
