“War” Abstract Fine Art by Deanna Caroon military
Being spouse, and having a spouse that has deployed 13 times, and been on countless other trips, and training missions (too many to count) the talk of war has been present in our home more times than I would like to admit. I am happy to say, my husband is no longer a member of the military, and can be with his family full-time now. Let me rephrase that, what is left of him will be home with us. Him leaving, deploying all of those times, he left part of himself behind each and every time he went away, how could you not). He is our very own Super Hero. this is good and bad. My son got to grow up knowing his dad was a real-life badass, but also he was gone most of the time. As he got older he also knew the reality of what could actually happen to his dad. My daughter had the same, hero as a daddy, but, he was not there for most daddy-daughter dances or milestones. WAR... This artwork is chaotic like the last 20-something years have been that we have been together. We never knew if he would be home, or running out the door to serve his country. There was always a bag packed and ready to go! I will always be proud of his sacrifice and do not get me wrong, I love my country so very much, but I am so very happy to have my husband back again. Now we can begin to rebuild our home and life that the war and military took away from, us for so long. Xo- Deanna
