Mattaponi Fine art by Deanna Caroon
This beautiful Village was painted while listening to music and thinking of stories my dad told me. He always told me I was a dependent of "Matoaka", how much of that is true I will never know. He and my uncle wrote about it in my bay book. I began to paint like many other times and my hand was taken over and this is what resulted. I love painting about the history of what could be my family and drawing about it as well. One can dream."Mattaponi" is the village Matoaka grew up in. Xoxo- Deanna
