“The Plum blossom is a symbol of resilience and perseverance. Peacocks are said to symbolize strength, confidence, and divinity. How amazing to have those qualities combined. I began painting and just let my mind take me to a place of strength and manifestation. When living in a body with so many things happening and so much turmoil with all of my disabilities, I sometimes feel trapped. This is my way of fighting back. My way of saying I am stronger than this and can persevere, I’ve got this. When I paint I’m in my element and feel strong and confident like the peacock, I feel the resilience, and perseverance that the plum blossom represents. So I paint, I dream, and I fight another day.
